Taiwan Tower by Stefan Dorin

The “Taiwan Tower” by Romanian firm Dorin Stefan Birou Arhitectura almost looks too far-fetched to be real. In fact, it looks like it was plucked straight out of a futuristic sci-fi movie, like the Matrix. Crazy thing is, construction is set to start as early as 2012 on the 390-meter tower, designed to serve as an observation deck, office tower, museum, and urban park.

The project was inspired by the leaf, the shape of the island of Taiwan, and other Taiwanese symbols. Eight zeppelin-like elevators serve as observation decks for the tower and run on a track positioned vertically in a strong electro‐magnetic field. Each deck can carry from 50 to 80 people up to the top for stunning views of the city.

that´s just pure crap!

is this architecture? …or just the attitute: ” I’m an artist and everithing I do and put on the mother earth is an artistic gesture in space…no,no,no this is only what “demokrit” said :)

really awesome! With our advance technology, this can be done. Go Go Taiwan!

Love it. Absolutely a breath of fresh air for futuristic designs. Super exciting. No typical boxes here.

Very interesting is the fact that such a creation would be discouraged from the begining, by our teachers in school. Very interesting is the fact that while our teachers pry us on a path of very controlled and strict type of architecture in school, they are attempting this kind of pattern brake in they’re own profession.

Fantastik, I lik it! This is so creative, so outside the box….:)

As Usual Dorin is FANTASTIK …..

Absolutly .

Yes, it’s really creative and awesome. But something having wings and that’s even more typical to understand.
