Zorlu Ecocity is a Llewelyn Davies Yeang project located in Istanbul, Turkey.  It’s a mixed-use development located at the southern extremity of Buyukdere Street in Istanbul.  The plan is conceptualized as a “city within a city” and conforms to the city’s planning strategy to multiply the number of urban centers throughout the Marma region to relieve pressure on Istanbul’s historic core. Zorlu Ecocity will have 588,850 sm (6,338,329 sf) of accommodation, which includes office towers, residential towers, two hotels, apartments, and resort-style elderly units above a three story retail complex.  In total, we’re talking about 14 towers ranging from 8 to 26 stories.

This project was submitted to an international competition that was won by the JV of Tabanlioglu and EAA, both Turkish architectural firms.

It’s loock like same shit of concret, but with a litle green grass in the hat.

;P I dont like this, sorry

agradable proyecto

i really want to know about the sustainable issues that are considered during the conceptualization….or is it just a concrete junk again with it’s fancy outlook..

nice architecture

but it looks like the projects

give it some time and it will be loaded with drugs and guns and black people

niceee

green architecture..i like that issue…
its nice…

When will architects realize that these high-rise projects are a terrible idea.

Not only do they alienate people and create social problems, they are less efficient than mid rise buildings 6-8 stories tall.

A truly “green” city would be 6-8 stories tall and would recognize the need for ecological as well as social sustainability.
