The United Arab Emirates gets all the attention for crazy urban schemes—from zero-carbon cities to kinetic, swirling skyscrapers. South Korea is lesser known, but it’s also got grand ambitions and tech-crazed urban planners: For example, New Songdo City, currently being developed on reclaimed land 40 miles outside of Seoul, will have a wireless network that connects residential, business, and medical systems and computers studding the houses and streets.
No wonder then that South Korea has an appetite for futuristic architectural schemes. A current show in Ansan, just south of Seoul, displays four pie-in-the-sky schemes for reinventing the city, designed by four buzzed-about architecture firms: BIG in Copenhagen, INABA in L.A., MAD in Beijing, and Mass Studies in Seoul. The big idea is to make architecture made of stand-alone units, which would allow projects to be expanded or scaled back during planning. (One of the big problems with big projects is that developers get stuck with huge buildings just as the economy tanks.)

Vomit… Please hire a real architect or urban designer. Maybe one like Rem Koolhaas, or Alejandro Zaera-Polo, UN Studio or even Steven Holl- if u want to see how to do this properly…
WoOwW!!! It’s like… trying to get small portion of God’s & Christ’s kingdom in heaven established and rooted here on the earth. WoOwW!!!

I totaly agree, this is not architecture – as le corbusier would had expressed it. This is like Dubai but a hundred times worse.
The only ´awsome´ thing about those structures is how engineers find out ways to build at such great scale. I dont know where this trend of designing buildings that looks like mountains and flowers comes from – it´s just silly.
wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so damn amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ARCHITECTS ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THIS IS AMAZING!!!!!!
you people should appreciate the exageration of manipulating shapes…architecture is not four-walled structures anymore its about imaginative creativity and manipulating the shapes that flow peacefully with the sorroundings and the elements of nature!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
unbelievable dreams, dreams are free, but it is not realistic for construction specialy for Korean urban 1.
but the creative of imagination was good
well most of the structures shown could be doable but the flower or that brilliant structure … well contractors would really think multiple times before taking that contract…
god i hate arabs
